PUBLIK PRIVATE SYNOPSIS

PlayPenn and The Sol Project have teamed up to present a workshop presentation of Publik Private by playwright eppchez yo-sí yes. This bilingual work grapples with the past, bearing witness to gender-non-conforming historical figures, La Monja Alferéz and The Publik Universal Friend. Part of The Sol Project’s mission is to “amplify the voices of Latiné playwrights in NYC and beyond.” The play’s first of two readings will be in Philadelphia, and the second in New York as part of SolFest.
