About The Event
PlayPenn invites you to a special panel with Philadelphia Artistic Directors.
This event is part of the Playwrights Cohort at PlayPenn, a year-long career development program—now in its second year—that connects playwrights with working professionals who speak to our cohort about the business side of theatre, as opposed to the craft of writing.
The panel will be held in person at The Proscenium at The Drake (302 South Hicks Street) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM EST, with wine and mingling beginning at 6:30 PM.
We are opening this session beyond the members of the Playwrights Cohort as part of our effort to bring together everyone involved in the 2025 New Play Development Conference.
Theatre companies represented on the panel include: PlayPenn, Philadelphia Theatre Company (PTC), The Wilma Theater, Power Street Theatre, Theatre in the X, InterAct Theatre Company, and People’s Light.
