Seeking Actor For PlayPenn New Play Development Conference

PlayPenn is seeking an immediate replacement for the reading of  Ama. Egg. Oyá. by Lori Felipe-Barkin, produced in partnership with Power Street Theater.

We are seeking self-tape submissions for the role of "Babalao/ Go- Male", Any Age, Latino. Bilingual. High proficiency in Spanish.

Ama. Egg.Oyá. blends Santería, modern-day Miami, and Cuban rhythms in a powerful exploration of infertility, motherhood, and the fierce determination to have a child. 

Contract Information:

AEA Contract: LOA-PP, At least $225 weekly minimum based on the 2024 LOA-PP

NON- AEA Contract: $375 total 

Dates:

July 8th - July 20th

25 hours of rehearsal

2 public readings

Rehearsals will be scheduled over two weeks, with one public reading presented at the end of each week.
